I Want to Pash the Internet

I love the Internet, it is fab. I do believe that on many occasions I have called it "The World's Greatest Invention". It is not just because it offers me a great amount of opportunity to enlarge any appendages I may have, it also gives me great investment opportunities and a chance to buy medication without a prescription. (Man so original, I should be a stand-up comedian).

The latest reason I love it though is because after ELEVEN years I have made contact with my cousin Leighton!

We used to play together, along with my sister, nearly every Saturday. What is more, he is a fabboo DJ and has a Myspace with his songs on! Yay! I didn't even know. Click here to go and check him out! We also chatted on MSN. Hooray. Plus I discovered his brother,

who I always knew was good at drawing and painting, has some kick-arse paintings. They can be viewed here.

So, a big plug for my very talented cousins! Fantastic. The internet rules. (I wonder if they remember the Boss game? It ruled, we were spies, we had a boss.)

P.S - I do not appreciate the huge spaces that this site insists on putting whenver you hit enter. It was not my fault I promise!

People often call my poor Mr Pigalina a geek, due to the fact that he is good with computers. What they haven't realised is that Mr Pigalina is only a geek in the "having greater than normal computer skills" sense of the word. When it comes to the games; quoting films, books and tv; blogging and love of the internet (the world's finest invention) it is in fact me that is the biggest geek.

Thanks to my new job we now have broadband (yay) and thanks to Mr Pigalina's skills my life has become even more geekified. I am now able to use my laptop anywhere in the house, allowing me to blog in bed, in front of the tv, even in the bath should it take my fancy.

I must also mention the Media Centre PC which he built from scratch (and a few computer parts). It is excellent. Now I can schedule any show that I find remotely interesting and it will record it for me everytime and keep them in a big list. There is no pesky remembering to rewind tapes, no accidentally taping over things you wanted to keep (like the very last ever episode of Going Live). I have managed to watch the whole of American Idol 5 so far (probably not something to really shout about) where if I was relying on a VCR I would have seen about 1 episode. It also allows you to pause live TV so I no longer have to wait untill the ad breaks to race to the loo and make a cup of tea. It is fab, if you ever get the chance to get one you should. (It often goes under the name Tivo or in NZ - MySky).

Being geeky is funtastic.

My friend Raft sent me along to a website that analyses photos and tells you which celebrities you look like. It is called MyHeritage.com and it is a lot of fun.

I uploaded quite a few photos to see who I looked like, though none seemed to turn up a consistent match. Apparently I look like Kirten Dunst, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (ick), Lara Flynn Boyle, Christina Ricci, Jean Harlow and even Oliver Hardy (yes, the fat one from Laurel and Hardy).

Mr Pigalina looks like a variety of people I have never heard of, I had only heard of Jeff Bridges.

Awesome Airborne Cats

There is a fabulous set of photos on Flickr.com and I think everybody should have a look at them. It is called "Airborne Cats" and they are great. They are posted by Junku and to view a slideshow of them click here. They are so funny and Junku does a great job of capturing the cats in a range of bizarre positions. Unfortunately I dont seem to be able to save any to put up here as a sample (short of doing a screen shot), but trust me, it is well worth a look.

I love ifilm.com, especially the viral videos section. So many crazy, amusing videos! I have finally had time to check it out and it's so funny. Go and have a look, you must watch Chinese Backstreet boys, Mr T's Rap Song and America we stand as one just about made me cry with laughter through my cringing.

A new and fabulous way for me to procrastinate!

Stupid Hackers

Our church web forum has been hacked AGAIN. They don't even do anything funny or try to rile us up in anyway. They just put "Hacked by Checkoutmyhardcorename" all over it. If they put naked lady pictures all over it at least it took some imagination and time. It'd be pretty bad, seeing as it is for church but that would be why it would also be kind of amusing.

Hackers are big losers.

They'll probably hack this now.
